Lizzy Mertz is a professional lash artist, educator and licensed esthetician in Sonoma County, California. She fell in love with the challenge of lashing five years ago, became one of the original SoCo Lashes brand ambassadors in 2019, and is excited to now be a part of the SoCo Lashes Education team. She is thankful to be able to express her creativity and make people feel their best selves while enjoying the freedom of working for herself. When she is not lashing, she spends time with her family, including her partner Mason, one-year-old daughter Leila, and dog Apollo. Nothing worth doing, will ever be easy. Anyone that knows anything about doing lashes or starting a business, knows it is very challenging. Learning a difficult skill like lashes requires determination, hard work and discipline. I believe that the real value in learning a great skill isn’t just being able to perform the skill, it’s all the other things you learn about yourself along the way. It’s the failures and the missteps that end up leading you in the right direction. My mission is to never be a master, but instead always be open to improve and challenge myself and others.
